Our Responsibility As Citizens

Jon has been talking about the Constitution alot and wanting to learn all about it. He has been looking up quotes of some of our founding father and what not. And he has been listening to talk radio and all the crap that is going on in Congress and what not. So that is the new kick.

On Sunday we were read to by the Stake President. How the First Presidency encourages us to learn about the presidential candidates and vote and support that person. So today I received a notice in the mail telling me how to vote and list all the different things to vote for - Federal Races, State races, County races and what not. From this I learned that there are 7 candidates running for president of the Unites States, crazy. I have only heard of Obama and McCain.

So I looked up the person running under the "Constitution Party" (which I had never heard of) and I think his views are alot better than I have heard of Obama and McCain. Anyway his name is Charles O. "Chuck" Baldwin.

But anyways my point is that there are so many options for president and I think it is really important that we follow the counsel we have been given and study out the candidates and support whomever we choose. Our right are slowly being taken away more and more. If we dont start voicing now when we have the chance, that blessing will be taken away.

You can learn about Baldwin at www.baldwin08.com.

Anyways thats all,

love ya

Amber
