Hey! Long time no post right? I know I am horrible. Hopefully I can get back into it though. The biggest problem has been that I take pictures with my cell phone and it can hold hundreds of photos and I never want to go through them. I update facebook and thats good enough....but not really right?
So I have been struggling with the three kids thing a little. It is just hard to keep your own identity when you are constantly running around with kids or being asked for this or that and being yelled at (by the son mostly) and never having my own time or space, or so it feels. I also have been really fatigued and I read a book called Adrenal Fatigue The 21st Century Syndrome. It is awesome and basically after having 3 kids in 3 years my body is hormonally messed up (which seems to be fairly common).
So we have been looking for some way I can get a consistent schedule, mostly with sleep, exercise and eating because according to the book thats what you need to help your body get back to normal. Anyway... Yesterday I found out about a group in hurricane who gets together 4 times a week and works out and they are just starting a Biggest Loser Competition. Way fun! I thought, so I am doing it! It is exactly what I needed. The lady in charge of it also gave me a diet plan for my meals, which I have also been wanting, and so today was my first day and I did awesome! Well I cheated a tiny tiny bit and ate one little piece of Jerky, but oh well.
Ok so heres how it works. For 3 weeks we have to come work out with the group at least 2 days a week and you have to lose at least one pound a week. If you dont you are penalized by paying more money. Good idea right? No one wants to pay more money! So its only $20 and I can work out all 4 days, which is my goal. But if you dont lose at least a lb a week you have to pay $10 more dollars for each week. I am kinda scared because I am worried I am going to gain muscle and even out but hopefully no. And the biggest loser gets a prize! Half the money that is paid goes to the winner. Last time it was $90! Way cool!
I am going to win that money! Work my butt off for 3 weeks and lose weight, so great. So the blog is going to be a little bit of my support, at least I can act like I am being accountable to someone ;).
This morning was kick boxing at 6am and it killed. Then we did lunges and then we did some abs and then planking. I am sore all over! It is not going to be good in the morning. But I am going to win money! Hopefully.....and I am going to tone up. Yes!
So my goal is to lose 5 lbs total (in the 3 weeks). I dont know if it is lofty or not. I am going to see how my weight is in a few days. The next weigh in is on Thursday Oct 13th and I have to have lost and kept off a lb by then.
I am hoping for the best. The hardest thing for today has been the filling up on vegetables part. For snacks you get about 4 oz of dairy and then unlimited celery o carrots. For meals you get about 9 oz of meat and rice or beans and then unlimited veggies. I feel full but because I am used to eating such heavy crummy food, I still feel wanting. Doesnt really make sense but I dont know.I am hoping as I eat better my body gets used to it and I feel completely satisfied.
